Vaughan Constructions has completed NSW’s first ever five-star green star rated – Industrial As Built v1, purpose-built distribution centre for Ricoh Australia. The facility is located in the Jacfin-owned industrial estate at Eastern Creek, NSW.
The $20m two-level project includes 6,550sqm of dedicated warehouse space, 720sqm of office space and 3,200sqm of technical areas. Ricoh Australia’s warehouse, national contact centre, training facilities, technical response and support centre will be housed at the new facility in Sydney’s major freight corridor.
Jacfin’s estate is a size of 160 hectares.
“The industrial facility has been designed to accommodate Ricoh’s warehousing needs now and for the future. We have considered the company’s forecasted operational growth, allowing for the warehouse to be expanded by a further 2,100sqm to meet growing needs,” said Vaughan Constructions joint managing director, Ken Vaughan.
Environmental elements have been considered and ensured; as well as achieving a five star green star rating.
Ricoh Australia’s existing distribution centre, located in Frenchs Forest NSW was re-located to the new site when it opened in December 2013.
