Vaughan Constructions was delighted to attend the official opening of the Winning Services distribution centre on Wednesday 8 February 2023.
The 45,740m² distribution centre was delivered on behalf of our valued repeat customer, LOGOS Group and will be the base of the Winning Group’s logistics business, Winning Services.
Located in LOGOS’ Wacol Logistics Hub in Queensland, the distribution centre will service Winning Group’s businesses Appliances Online, Winning Appliances, Rogerseller, Spence & Lyda and ý Clearance and third-party logistics partners including iFit and Sub-Zero & Wolf.
The new facility includes 44,760m² of warehousing and 980m² of office space and amenities.
There are 56 loading docks, a combination of recessed and on grade.
Another key aspect of this project was the delivery of the Estate Infrastructure Package which included the installation of services, stormwater system and road infrastructure to the new estate.
The distribution centre is targeted to achieve a 5 Star Green Star Design and As Built rating.
Mick Bunt, General Manager at Winning Services expressed his delight with the completed project.
“The Winning Services team couldn’t be happier with the outcome of the newly completed Wacol distribution centre,” said Mr Bunt.
“Vaughan Constructions have exceeded our high expectations in every single aspect of the project.
The new distribution centre is truly fit-for-purpose and will boost operational efficiencies, ensuring that we continue to provide legendary care to customers. Vaughan was able to turn our vision into a reality.”
The Winning Services distribution centre is Stage 1 of LOGOS’ Wacol Logistics Hub Estate. While the distribution centre was underway, Vaughan completed Stage 2 of the development, a 12,920m² warehouse that includes two tenancies.
Vaughan has also been appointed to deliver Stage 3 and 4 of the development.
LOGOS General Manager Development – QLD, Justin Sherlock, said he was pleased with the finished result and looking forward to the delivery of the next two stages.
“We are thrilled with the delivery of the Winning Services distribution centre (Stage 1) and speculative facility (Stage 2) at our Wacol Logistics Hub Estate. Throughout the construction process we have been impressed with Vaughan’s commitment and dedication.
“This project had the added challenge of delivering the Estate Infrastructure Package which Vaughan meticulously planned out and executed.
“The exceptional finished projects resulted in LOGOS appointing Vaughan as the trusted builder to deliver the next two stages of the Estate.
“It has been a pleasure to collaborate with Vaughan and continue the partnership on the next two projects,” Mr Sherlock said.
The Stage 3 and 4 projects are expected to be completed later this year.
