Vaughan Constructions is delighted to announce the completion of 25,000m² built area for specialist real estate manager, 151 Property.
Located at 151 Property’s Boundary Industrial Estate in Laverton North, Victoria, Vaughan delivered two industrial facilities. A distribution centre for global logistics provider Nippon Express and a neighbouring speculative facility.
The new purpose-built distribution centre consolidates Nippon Express’ sites at Tullamarine and Truganina allowing for future growth, boasting 18,000m² of warehousing, 1,000m² of office space and a 2,300m² super canopy.
To complete the last of the remaining land on the customer’s estate, Vaughan also delivered a speculative facility inclusive of 5,540m² of warehousing and a 150m² office.
Supporting 151 Property’s commitment to environmental sustainability, the project includes solar panels, solar hot water, LED lighting, extra insulation to warehouse roof and walls and rainwater tanks used for toilet flushing and irrigation.
Furthermore, landscaping included rain gardens to filter water before going into stormwater system.
Vaughan Constructions’ Director, Mark Byrne said the new projects are an exciting addition to Vaughan’s portfolio and exemplify a strong partnership between customer and builder.
‘’We have partnered with 151 Property on a number of projects nationwide and we were thrilled to have the opportunity to partner with them once again.’’
‘’This latest development sees our teams deliver industrial facilities that set the standard in the sector. The new purpose-built building provides Nippon Express staff with the best available facilities, both office and warehousing components designed for maximum operational efficiency and potential to reduce business costs.” said Mr Byrne.
Despite the challenges of COVID-19 and encountering one of the wettest starts to the year on record in Melbourne, our team adhered to a tight timeframe and proudly handed this project over ahead of contract completion date.
