Vaughan Constructions completed the design and construction of Shimano Sporting Products’ new showroom, administration and warehouse facility in Taren Point, New South Wales.
Vaughan completed the project within the contract schedule date of 32 weeks.
Warehouse Ground Floor | 2,295m2 |
Amenity/Office | 267m2 |
Second Floor Display | 473m2 |
First Floor Office/Amenities | 403m2 |
TOTAL | 3,447m2 |
Pavements | 1,179m2 |
The project features a large warehouse which has specifically been designed as two fire compartments to delete the requirement for fire sprinkler protection in the facility.
The compartments are joined by a central access point and also features a post tensioned concrete floor slab with one construction joint in the building which was positioned underneath the warehouse dividing wall.
The building administration is spread over three levels, with one entire level being a showroom for the display of Shimano’s goods to retailers.
The project was completed ahead of schedule and the quality of the finished project exceeded my original expectations.
